Bringing KID’S YOGA to Orange County Schools and Organizations!
Kids will enjoy all the benefits of yoga in a fun and playful way. Yoga is for everyone, no matter how flexible you are, or what religion you belong to.
Sprouting Yogis is dedicated to providing a light-hearted and safe environment for children to grow in strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and mindfulness. Yoga is a non-competitive way for kids to build self-esteem and confidence. It is appropriate for both the athletic child and those that might not be as comfortable with competitive sports.
By using interactive games and animated postures, kids will build body awareness, improve concentration and focus, and learn how to release energy and relax.
Rated #1 Kid's Yoga in Orange County in 2022 and 2023 in Parent's Magazine
I've been drawn to movement and the outdoors for as long as I can remember. Being active has always made me feel like myself, but yoga is what truly quieted my mind and gave me the calm, grounded connection between body and breath that I didn't even know I was searching for.
After college, I packed up and spent three years living in Spain, teaching English to a classroom full of elementary schoolers. It was there that I first brought yoga into my lessons, mixing movement, breath, and language into playful "English yoga" classes with my students. Watching them light up on the mat is what set me on this path. In 2026, I became certified through Kidding Around Yoga, and I've been hooked on teaching kids' yoga ever since.
These days, I'm mom to two little ones, ages one and three, and mindfulness isn't just something I teach, it's something we practice together at home. I want my own kids, and every child who joins us on the mat, to grow up with real tools for feeling grounded, present, and comfortable in their own emotions, because those skills matter just as much as any physical ones.
I believe yoga has something to offer every child, at every age. Come laugh, breathe, and grow with us. My hope is to give kids the confidence, joy, and emotional balance to thrive, now and for years to come. May the world be filled with happy, healthy, and calm children.

Benefits of Yoga for Kids
Builds self-confidence and resilience
Yoga isn't about getting a pose perfect — it's about small wins your child can build on. That's what turns "I can't do it" into "I can't do it yet."
Falling out of a pose isn't failing, either. It's just part of trying again. And poses like Warrior or Mountain help kids feel as big and strong as they're standing — while something like Lion's Breath gives quieter kids permission to be loud and take up space.
Helps children manage big emotions
Little kids don't always have the words for big feelings — and when those feelings have nowhere to go, they can come out as hitting, screaming, or tantrums. Yoga gives them a different outlet: a chance to pause and just sit with what they're feeling.
The mindful breathing woven through so many poses creates a little breathing room between a feeling and a reaction, so your child gets a beat to choose how they want to respond. Yoga also helps them "map" what's happening in their body — so if your child is anxious and suddenly feels clammy, tingly, or hot, they start to understand why, instead of just being confused by it.
Helps children manage stress and anxiety
Yoga is more than stretching — it's a gentle way to help kids release stress. Simple deep breathing calms the mind and body together, switching on the nervous system's natural relaxation response.
Over time, kids also get better at noticing how they feel and learning healthy ways to move through it — visualization and guided meditation are especially good for that. And when big emotions hit, breathing and movement give them the tools to find calm again.
